Nichole Madrid awakens to a perfect blue Colorado sky on her fourteenth wedding anniversary in a camper in the Rocky Mountains, wanting nothing more than to go home to a hot shower and her own bed. Stained glass lessons, a frail mother, a wonderful father, and their 12-year-old daughter vacationing in a very small town in the Rocky Mountains in the fall. And let’s not forget Maggie, the owner of the barely-making-it stained glass shop! Breaking Together is a book I couldn’t put down. I loved the way Konni compared art with life. She takes you on a journey that combines each step of the stained glass process from the eyes of a beginner with a life lesson.
